It’s been engagement shoot central around here lately! I look forward to all of my engagement sessions because it gives me a chance to get to know my couples and have fun with them before the big day comes. I was happy that Jeannie and Mike chose Balboa Park for their engagement session because I’m a native San Diegan, and somehow Balboa Park just reminds me of being a kid. Balboa Park is has all kinds of great light for shooting too.

We met on a Sunday morning, before most people had finished their coffee and read the paper, so we had much of the park almost to ourselves. Jeannie and Mike were super easy going, and very passionate about each other, which made the session all the more fun. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding in October, aboard the Hornblower yacht “Renown” on San Diego Bay.
